METHERM CS 1050 is a rigid calcium silicate board rated to 1050°C continuous service — well beyond the 650°C ceiling of tobermorite-based boards. The xonotlite mineral matrix (Ca₆Si₆O₁₇(OH)₂) maintains dimensional integrity and compressive strength after repeated thermal cycling across the full rated range. Class A1 non-combustible, asbestos-free, machinable with standard tools. Standard sizes 600 × 600 mm and 1000 × 500 mm in 25–100 mm thicknesses.

Use Cases

Reheating furnace sidewall backup insulation. Rigid CS 1050 boards bonded in staggered-joint courses behind hot-face castable at 950–1050°C, maintaining shell-contact temperature below design limits where mineral wool settles and fails.

Petrochemical reformer and hot gas line insulation. Retains structural integrity after steam-purge and water exposure at 800–850°C — a critical differentiator vs mineral wool in process environments.

Glass furnace crown backup. Dimensionally stable under repeated thermal cycling with Class A1 classification meeting both process engineering and building regulation requirements.
